Over 100,000 laughs for dancing bears!

Feb 11, 2009

Tim Minchin

The acclaimed Aussie-born comedian was inspired by WSPA's work to end bear dancing and wrote an alternative take on why India’s dancing bears might not be so keen on throwing shapes for their owner’s profit.

'Bears don't dig on dancing' featured in his sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show and UK tour ‘Ready for this?’ last year.

Tim is a hugely popular performer around the world and leapt into the British comedy scene in 2005 when he won the Perrier Best Newcomer award at the Fringe. He was also in the line-up of generous performers who featured in WSPA's Stand up for Animals comedy night in London last year, organised by writer and comedian Robin Ince.

Watch Tim Minchin's video below (please note there's a few rude words in it!)
