EDM 942

A new Early Day Motion – EDM 942 - was launched by MPs from all parties at our reception at Parliament on 26 October 2010. An Early Day Motion works in a similar way to a petition, but it is just for MPs and it allows politicians to quickly and easily demonstrate their support for an issue, such as the threat of intensive dairy farming.

Our EDM has already been signed by 66 MPs but we need your help to gain more signatures. If we can collect over 100 signatures from MPs the EDM 942 will demonstrate the extent of parliamentary support for keeping cows in fields and out of factories.

Step 1

Find your MP by putting your postcode here:  www.theyworkforyou.com

Step 2

Copy this letter, copy and paste to email or print and post

Step 3

If you’re on Twitter , why don’t you tweet your local MP – not forgetting to use the hash tag #Notinmycuppa

You can make a difference

  • By signing the EDM your MP will help oppose the establishment of intensive dairy units such as the proposed factory farm by Nocton Dairies in Lincolnshire.

  • Your MP will show they believe that such proposals threaten to take British dairy farming in the wrong direction.

  • By listening to you and signing the EDM your MP will acknowledge the latest poll that shows the majority of the British public do not want to drink factory milk from battery cows.
